UPDATED: Noon, June 19: A man was arrested at Tortoise Rock Casino for investigation into the sexual assault of a minor. Early Saturday (June 17), just after midnight, Joseph Sharon, a 31 year-old resident of Twentynine Palms, was arrested after an investigation into an incident from earlier in June.
The mother of the victim told Z107.7 that the alleged assault occurred on the morning of June 3, while Sharon was visiting her home. The mother said she filed a report with Deputies at the Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Station on June 4, and then took the victim to the Children’s Assessment Center of San Bernardino to be medically examined and interviewed.
Joseph Sharon was arrested for investigation into aggravated sexual assault on a minor and booked into West Valley Detention Center, and is being held without bail. This is a developing story, stay tuned to Z107.7 for updates on this incident.
