A Yucca Valley man was arrested Saturday (June 5), accused of assault with a firearm, following a pursuit with deputies. According to Sheriff’s reports, deputies responded to the 7400 block of Lucerne Vista in Yucca Valley at 5:44 p.m. for a report of a man brandishing a firearm. Deputies searched the area and located Jonathan Marr, 29 of Yucca Valley driving near Joshua Lane. Marr failed to yield, leading deputies on a pursuit. Marr stopped his vehicle in a residential area and fled on foot. Deputies secured the area and located Marr with the help of a Sheriff’s helicopter. A search of Marr’s vehicle revealed several illegal loaded firearms including the one used during the reported assault. Jonathan Marr was arrested for investigation of assault with a firearm and felony evasion, and was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $100,000.
