YUCCA VALLEY MAN ARRESTED FOLLOWING SCHOOL BUS YARD BREAK-INS

A Yucca Valley man was arrested yesterday, following an investigation into school bus break-ins.  According to a Sheriff’s press release, deputies were investigating a series of break-ins at the Morongo Unified School District bus yard in Yucca Valley. On February 5, a maintenance worker found the fence line cut and noticed equipment was missing. On February 12, deputies responded to the location when the alarm was triggered during early hours and an investigation determined a break-in had occurred, and additional equipment was missing. Yesterday (February 14), deputies followed up on leads they had and contacted Lance White-Uhte, 39, living in a tent roughly a mile away from the bus yard. Deputies reportedly detained and questioned White-Uhte, leading them to arrest him for suspected involvement in the burglaries. Lance White-Uhte was arrested for investigation for burglary and booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $25,000.
