Yucca Valley man arrested after allegedly arranging meet up for sex with minor

A Yucca Valley man was arrested for allegedly arranging to meet with a minor for the purposes of sex.

On February 11, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies located a man under investigation for contacting a minor for the purposes of sex. The suspect was identified by deputies as Ramon Castellanos, a 58 year-old resident of Yucca Valley. Deputies contacted Castellanos in the parking lot of the Home Depot in Yucca Valley at around 12:30 p.m. and took him into custody. The Sheriff’s Department declined to provide further details about the arrest. A public information officer with the Department described the case as sensitive, and that they can only share limited information. They indicated that there was a single minor victim involved in the investigation. 

Ramon Castellanos was arrested for investigation into sending harmful materials to a minor, contacting a minor for sexual purposes, and arranging to meet with a minor for sex. He is being held at the West Valley Detention Center on $100,000 bail.
