YUCCA VALLEY MAN ACCUSED OF CHOKING HIS WIFE

A Yucca Valley man was arrested late Sunday night after his wife said he tried to choke her. According to a Sheriff’s report, Kyle Lightner, 26, was arguing with his wife in the 58700 block of Barron Drive about 10:30 p.m. when his wife said he grabbed her by the throat with both hands and squeezed until she felt she was going to pass out. Lightner then released his hold on her. After an investigation, Kyle Lightner was arrested on suspicion of felony spouse abuse, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
