YUCCA VALLEY MAN ACCUSED OF ASSAULT FOLLOWING DISPUTE OVER RENT

A Yucca Valley man was arrested, accused of assault following a dispute over rent payments. According to Sheriff’s reports, Deputies responded to the 1500 block of Keeler Avenue in Yucca Valley on Wednesday (July 14) by a victim who said his landlord, later identified as Bruce Hearn, 67, had pulled a gun on him and threatened to kill him following a dispute over rent. Hearn had left the scene before deputies could arrive. On Friday, (July 16) around 4 p.m. deputies located Hearn and recovered a firearm in his possession. Bruce Hearn was arrested for investigation of assault causing great bodily injury and was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $50,000.
