The Yucca Valley High School Lady Trojan basketball team lost their CIF Division 3AA first round playoff game, 53-26, last night at Knight High School in Palmdale.
Coach Jess Geeson said, “On a cold night in Palmdale, the Lady Trojan basketball team couldn’t overcome their cold shooting and lost their CIF Division 3AA first-round playoff game 53-26 last night at Knight High School. The Yucca girls held the Hawks to 25 first-half points but could only put up 15 points themselves. In the second half, the home squad held the young Trojans to a season low 11 second-half points to earn a trip to the second round. Juniors Coy Smith and Makayla Geeson each scored six points to lead the team. Sophomore Loryn Brimhall and senior Angie Reutgen each notched five points for the team.”
The Lady Trojans finished the season with a 16-11 record.
