YVHS Boys Soccer team played the second and last preseason game on Wednesday (11/30) at Rancho Mirage High School.
Junior Varsity lost 5 to 0, but coach Jorge Rodriguez says that “the team is learning to play together and every game we gain more experience and our very young team plays hard no matter what the score is.”
The Player of the match was Defender Cody Staten.
Varsity lost 11 to 2, the first goal was scored by Freshman Forward Ben Carlton and the second goal was scored by Senior midfielder David Beruman. Goalkeeper Bruce Burch had 10 saves. Coach Rodrigues stated “tonight we played a very experienced team and our Trojan Boys never gave up, playing hard until the last minute.”
The player of the match was Defender Anthony Morando.
The Yucca Valley boys soccer play next week at Indio High School. Go Trojans!
