Yucca Valley Film Festival Screenings for Friday (11/6)

Tonight beginning at 5 p.m, the Yucca Calley Community Center will be lighting up and rolling out the red carpet for the first night of the town-sponsored Yucca Valley Film Festival.
Show up early to get your photo taken on the red carpet, and settle in at 6:30 for the following screenings:
“Veronica” starring Selene Luna. Luna plays Veronica Santos – a little person actress hunting for one true role in a town that sees her as nothing more than a sight gag.
“To Be Harriet” is the world premiere of a documentary directed by Robby Robb, who follows the genesis of one the hi-desert’s most famous venues – Pappy and Harriets. Robby was the recipient of the Yucca Valley Film Festival Award 2025 for “Will & Silence.”

“Everything is Brand” is a short film exploring a marketing executive’s pitch, which descends into an existential crisis.
“Next in Line” is a short directed by Danny Dolan and starring Tatiana Maslany – when a choreographer loses out on his big break, he travels to the desert for a retreat that finds him sharing the space with someone who tests his sanity and safety.

“Heels” is a music video shot here in the mojave desert with local artist Luke James – making its world premiere tonight.

The Yucca Valley Film Festival is completely free and beings tonight at 5 p.m. with the red carpet, and screenings begin at 6:30.
