Yucca Valley announces 5k Family Fun Run and 2k Walk at Machris Park in September

The Town of Yucca Valley Community Services Department announced they will host a 5K Family Fun Run and 2K Walk on September 6, at the newly remodeled Machris Park in the Upper Sky Harbor neighborhood off Joshua Lane.

The event offers a morning of fitness and fun for participants of all ages and abilities.

Participants can choose between a 5K Run, which includes a competitive timed option, and a 2K Walk. Both events will be professionally timed and include race bibs for all registered participants. The paved route makes it accessible for families with strollers, and leashed dogs are also welcome.

Registration is accepted online at www.yucca-valley.org or in person at the community center.  Early bird registration is open through August 10 for a discounted price of only $30 and includes an event t-shirt and goodie bag. Regular registration continues from August 11 through race day at a fee of $35 with t-shirts and goodie bags included while supplies last.

On-site registration is also accepted on race day.
