WONDER VALLEY MAN ARRESTED AFTER WARRANT REVEALS WEAPON AND DRUGS

A Wonder Valley man was arrested Sunday after a search warrant reportedly found a weapon and drugs at his residence. According to a press release, on January 2, around 9:30 a.m., deputies from the Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Station conducted a warrant service at a property on the 4800 block of Falderman Avenue in Wonder Valley for a wanted felon, Kenneth Wright, 61. While serving the warrant, Wright was said to have been taken into custody without incident. During a search of Wright’s listed probation address, deputies say they discovered Wright to be in possession of a flare gun capable of firing shotgun ammunition along with methamphetamine. Deputies state that Wright has a violent criminal history and several previous convictions of being a felon in possession of a firearm. Kenneth Wright was booked at the Central Detention Center for investigation of being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance, and his felony warrant for assault with a deadly weapon where he is being held with no bail.
