The Twentynine Palms High School Wildcats baseball team defeated Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy 21-3 on Monday (March 16).
Eduardo Avalos earned the win for Twentynine Palms. The starting pitcher surrendered eight hits and three runs (zero earned) in seven innings complete game, striking out six and walking none.
The Wildcats collected 22 hits in the game. Bubba Corney, Raul Ginez, Anthony Gabriel Jr, Jax Langdon, and Eduardo Avalos, each collected three hits for Twentynine Palms. Mauricio Montada collected 2 hits at the plate and led the team with five runs batted in. Cayden Lenio also collected two hits for the Wildcats.
The Wildcats will travel to Academy for Academic Excellence for their next game on Thursday (March 19).
