VOUCHERS AVAILABLE FOR SPAYING AND NEUTERING IN COUNTY UNINCORPORATED AREAS

Chihuahuas, shepherds, and pit bull-type breeds are the most common dog breeds to be cared for in our local shelters. A recent donation will provide 600 additional $50 vouchers for the spaying or neutering of these breeds in the unincorporated communities of San Bernardino County. Reporter Eric Knabe explains how you can participate…
In the unincorporated areas of San Bernardino County, the new vouchers for spaying or neutering chihuahuas, shepherds, and pit bull-type breeds can be combined with the $50 vouchers from the ongoing voucher program for a total of $100. The ongoing vouchers can be used towards the spay/neuter of any breed of dog and both vouchers can be redeemed at participating veterinarians, including VCA Yucca Valley, VCA Twentynine Palms, and Companion Animal Clinic. Spaying and neutering is mandatory for pit bull-type dogs in the unincorporated areas of San Bernardino County. In addition to dogs, residents with cats in the unincorporated communities of San Bernardino County can request a voucher worth $25 toward spaying or neutering.

To request a voucher, call the Pet Over Population Coalition (POPCO) at 888-767-2550.
