A traffic stop resulted in the arrest of a man for failing to register as a sex offender. About 3:30 a.m., a deputy stopped a vehicle near Bagley Avenue and Sunnyslope Drive in Twentynine Palms for having a burned-out tail light. Inside the vehicle was Robert Conde, 28. The deputy found heroin in Conde’s possession, and determined that Conde had five active warrants for his arrest, and was a convicted sex offender. Robert Conde was arrested for failing to register as a sex offender and on his warrants; he was booked into West Valley Detention Center, with his total bail set at $185,000.
