TWO YUCCA VALLEY FELONS ARRESTED FOR WEAPONS

Two Yucca Valley men who are convicted felons were arrested Sunday after they were found with a firearm and ammunition. About 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon, a deputy made a pedestrian check on two men walking away from a white sedan with an expired registration near Palm Avenue and Little League Drive in Yucca Valley. One of the men, Joseph Desjardins, 32, admitted that he was the owner of the car. Desjardins gave the deputy permission to search the car, and added that there was a gun in the trunk. The deputy found an unloaded .22-caliber revolver along with rounds of ammunition. Joseph Desjardins and his companion, Tyler Albert, 26, were arrested for investigation of being felons in possession of a firearm, and for violating the terms of their probation, as well as for misdemeanor warrants. Joseph Desjardins was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $50,000. Tyler Albert was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail and is being held without bail.
