Two Landers men were cited Thursday for shooting rifles near a residence. About 12:30 p.m. Thursday, a woman in the 2400 block of North Sage Avenue called to report that she heard gunshots in the area and thought that the bullets were hitting her house. A deputy found a vehicle parked about a quarter-of-a mile away from the home and inside were two men, identified as Jacob Peltack and Dakota Fields, along with a rifle and a Glock. The deputy said both men admitted to discharging the firearms. Peltack and Fields were cited and released for discharging a firearm and their weapons were seized for evidence.
