Two convicted felons were arrested Wednesday night when they were found in violation of their probation. According to a Sheriff’s report, when deputies went to a home in the 7500 block of Joshua Lane in Yucca Valley about 9 p.m. on a probation check, Ronald Sartain, 28, of Yucca Valley, tried to flee from the garage, but was quickly captured by deputies. In the garage, deputies located a .12-gauge shotgun and several shotgun shells, and determined that Sartain was on probation and had two warrants for his arrest. A car arrived during the deputies’ search, and hiding in the back seat of the car was Donnie Dora, 31, also of Yucca Valley, who also had a warrant for his arrest. Deputies located methamphetamine in his possession. Ronald Sartain was arrested for investigation of being a felon in possession of a firearm and for his two warrants. He was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail with his total bail set at $100,000. Donnie Dora was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and for his warrant. He was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $50,000.
