TWENTYNINE PALMS WOMAN ARRESTED FOR ARSON

A Twentynine Palms woman was arrested early morning, accused of setting a fire to the business where she worked. According to Sheriff’s reports, deputies were called to the Break-n-Run bar in the 72100 block of 29 Palms Highway shortly before midnight. The employees said the fire started below the deep fryer, which they found suspicious, as the fryer had not been used all day. Employees were able to put out the fire without calling the fire department, but called the Sheriff’s Department. After an investigation, deputies arrested Amie Sword, 24, an employee of the Break-n-Run, on suspicion of arson. Amie Sword was booked into West Valley Detention Center with her bail set at $250,000.
