CAB DRIVER ROBBED AT GUNPOINT IN TWENTYNINE PALMS

The Sheriff’s Department is investigating a case of an armed robbery of a cab in Twentynine Palms Sunday night. According to a Sheriff’s report, the driver was in her cab near Sunset Road and North Star Avenue when about 9:30 p.m., an unknown man opened the passenger door, pointed a gun at her, and demanded her money. After taking the money, the suspect then took off on foot toward the casino. The suspect is described as a white man in his 20s, who was wearing a black shirt pulled up over the lower part of his face, and a black hat.
