TWENTYNINE PALMS WOMAN ARRESTED AFTER EVADING WARRANT ARREST

A Twentynine Palms woman who was wanted on a felony warrant and attempted to evade arrest was arrested Tuesday. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies were called to the 6000 block of Mojave Avenue in Twentynine Palms shortly before midnight Tuesday, for a disturbance call. The deputy contacted Joela Saunders, 29, and determined she was wanted for a $250,000 warrant for resisting arrest. Saunders tried to lock out the deputy, who forced entry into the home, and took Saunders into custody. Joela Saunders was arrested for investigation of resisting arrest, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, and with her bail set at $250,000.
