TWENTYNINE PALMS WOMAN ACCUSED OF DRIVING HIGH, LEAVING INFANT CHILDREN HOME ALONE

A Twentynine Palms woman who allegedly left her infant children home alone was arrested for child abuse Wednesday after gate guards at the Marine Corps base reported her for driving while high. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies were called to the main gate of the Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center just before 2 a.m. Wednesday. The military gate guards said that Breyanna Woods’ vehicle reeked of marijuana and she had bloodshot, watery eyes. Woods allegedly told deputies she had two infant children at her home in the 80600 block of Nobel Court. When deputies checked the home, they found the two children. Breyanna Woods was arrested for investigation of felony child abuse and booked into the West Valley Detention Center with bail set at $100,000.
