TWENTYNINE PALMS WATER TAKES UP ALLOWING RATE REDUCTION AFTER AN ACCIDENT

Among the items the Twentynine Palms Water District board of directors will discuss at their meeting tonight will be establishing a policy to allow customers to request a reduction in their water bill if there was an accident that resulted in a higher-than usual bill. Directors will also decide whether to change the employee retirement plan that would allow employees to make emergency withdrawals. The board will also determine whether it should change its current policy concerning the extension of water mains to properties in the district. And the directors will discuss buying three pick-up trucks. Tonight’s meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the district office on Hatch Road in Twentynine Palms.
