The Twentynine Palms Rotary Club is looking for seventh grade students who show potential leadership skills to participate in this year’s Personal Rotary Youth Development Experience (PRYDE). PRYDE is scheduled for November 17-18 in Lake Arrowhead at the Thousand Pines Retreat Center. Three hundred-plus seventh grade students from across San Bernardino and Riverside County will participate in the two-day event. This camp will enhance personal abilities and offers opportunity to meet and share ideas with other leaders. Rotary speakers, activities, and discussion groups will provide participants with positive and helpful approaches to personal growth. The Rotary club will have a meeting for all potential PRYDE students on Thursday, September 13, at 6 p.m. at Patriotic Hall adjacent to the Recreation Office in Luckie Park. The Recreation office located at 74362 Joe Davis. At the meeting, they will discuss what PRYDE is and how to be selected. There is no cost to students or parents. Applicants must be present at the meeting to be considered. For more information, call Twentynine Palms Rotary Club President Gary Daigneault at 760-366-8471.
