Twentynine Palms Planning Commission considers Historic Plaza community events

Twentynine Palms Planning Commission considers approving a conditional use permit to allow Historic Plaza to host more Community events annually.

Previously, Historic Plaza has applied for a series of temporary use permits in order to hold community events but these only allow four events per year. Now Historic Plaza has applied for a Conditional Use Permit which will allow them to hold weekly events on Sunday afternoons from noon to 5:00 p.m. Situated on the northwest corner of Adobe road and Two Mile, the commercial buildings in Historic Plaza are on either side of city owned driveway and parking areas. Vendor booths would be set up in this parking lot, selling arts and crafts, pre-packaged food and other products; alcohol sales would be allowed at these events. There may be live music and city noise regulations would have to be adhered to.

There will be a public hearing concerning this proposal.

The meeting begins at 5:00 p.m. and is being held at Twentynine Palms City Hall, located at 6136 Adobe Road.
