Twentynine Palms Parks & Recreation office temporarily closed for ADA improvements

The City of Twentynine Palms announced that its Parks & Recreation Department office will be temporarily closed to the public through March 25. The closure will accommodate construction activities taking place in the small parking lot outside of the Parks & Recreation office off Joe Davis Drive.

The Luckie Park American with Disabilities Act (ADA) Parking Improvements Project includes the removal of existing non-ADA compliant concrete in the park’s parking lots and surrounding building entrance areas and reconstruction to meet current ADA requirements. The project also includes the installation of PCC pavement, sidewalks, curb and gutter, updated signage and striping, and storm drain improvements.

During the construction period, Parks & Recreation staff will remain available to assist the public by appointment only. Community members who require in-person services are encouraged to contact the department in advance to schedule an appointment.
