MVCSD to appoint new Board Director at regular public meeting

The Morongo Valley Community Services District Board of Directors will hold their regular meeting tonight (2/18) at Covington Park’s multipurpose room, where they will appoint a new Board member.
Since former Park Commissioner Eva Rowles’ resignation on January 13, the MVCSD has gathered and reviewed three hopeful applications to fill the empty seat on the Board. Sales representative Marco Sintobin, construction consultant Nelson Leon, and owner of Sacred Symbols Tatau Randi Wilson will be publicly interviewed during the meeting, and one will be chosen by four-director vote.
The Board will also discuss the recent report from the Special Districts Risk Management Authority, which focuses on workplace safety and best practices of property/liability risk reduction.
In continued business, the Board will resume discussion on bids for a new general counsel and the hiring of a grant writing and fund development service, as well as discussing, reviewing, and approving the latest draft of the audit report.
The MVCSD meets this Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. in Covington Park’s multipurpose room, located at 11165 Vale Drive in Morongo Valley.
