Twentynine Palms man arrested for investigation into assault with shovel
A person was hospitalized after being hit in the face with a shovel.
On Thursday (May 14) at around 6:15 p.m., San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of assault in the 69100 block of Kachina Drive in Twentynine Palms.
Deputies say that the victim called 911 to report that they had been hit in the face by a shovel. Deputies identified the suspect as Stephen Morgan, 61. Deputies took Morgan into custody at the scene. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment for injuries to their mouth.
Stephen Morgan was taken into custody for assault with a deadly weapon and is being held at the West Valley Detention Center on $40,000 bail.
