A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Tuesday after he was found running a chop shop.
About 9 a.m. Tuesday, deputies went to a home in the 5000 block of Moon Way in Wonder Valley to serve a search warrant on Jeffrey App, 62, who had a misdemeanor warrant for his arrest. When deputies were at the home, they found a 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle that had been reported stolen.
App, a convicted felon, was detained on suspicion of receiving a stolen vehicle. Deputies then got a search warrant and found two additional stolen vehicles in different stages of disassembly, as well as cash, weapons, and various calibers of ammunition.
Jeffrey App was arrested for investigation of operating a chop shop, receiving a stolen vehicle, and being a felon in possession of firearms and ammunition, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $75,000.
