Twentynine Palms High School Football Shuts out Desert Mirage

The Twentynine Palms High School Varsity Wildcats Football Team traveled to Desert Mirage Friday night (September 23) and shut out the Rams by a score of 40 to 0.

The offense had a slow start, but after going up to 14 to 0, the team was firing on all cylinders. Touchdowns came from quarterback Noah Barber, Tabari White, Dylan Todd, Josh Burkins, Dejuan Johnson and River Ruiz.

An excellent defensive effort from the Wildcats led to their first shut out of the season. The Wildcats forced three turnovers and one fumble caused by River Ruiz that he then picked up and took in for a 50 yard touchdown. Coaches from Twentynine Palms High School said that “great efforts came on both sides of the ball.”

The Twentynine Palms Varsity Wildcats will host Indio this coming Friday (September 30) at 7 p.m.
