Cemetery Puts Out Call for Altars for their Dia De Los Muertos Event

The Twentynine Palms Cemetery District is celebrating Dia de los Muertos with a public event, but they need the help of artists from the community.

During Dia de los Muertos, the traditional Mexican celebration of the dead, loved ones are honored with memorial altars that are decorated with flowers, sugar skulls, candles, and food. The Twentynine Palms Cemetery District is inviting artists and amateurs to construct and decorate altars for their public event on October 30. It is free to participate, but the organizers ask that you reserve a table no later than Friday, October 21.
