Twentynine Palms Book Festival returns this weekend (11/7 – 11/9)

The Twentynine Palms Book Festival returns this weekend.
Over three days, from November 7 to 9, the festival will bring together an exciting mix of panels, workshops, and readings — both at the Twentynine Palms Community Center and in memorable off-site locations. From flagship noir events under the desert sky to intimate conversations with acclaimed authors, the program celebrates the creativity, stories, and voices that define our desert community and beyond.
Local and visiting writers will hold lectures, panel conversations, readings, and signings about their work and topics include comedy and noir in the hi-desert, comics, how to get published and so much more.
The event will take place inside the Twentynine Palms Community Center by Freedom Plaza, and the Community Center doors will open at 9:30 a.m. on Friday for early visitors. The festival’s opening session, “Where the Hell is 29 Palms?”, begins promptly at 10:00 AM. The fair will remain open 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
The festival presents seventeen live sessions—panel discussions, one-on-one conversations, readings, and workshops—alongside five signature offsite events: Mojave Noir, Poetry Happy Hour, Voices of the Desert, Noir in the Boneyard, and Red Light Lit.
