TWENTYNINE PALMS ARRESTED FOR BEING A FELON WITH A FIREARM

A Twentynine Palms man was arrested late Sunday night, accused of being a felon in possession of a firearm. According to Sheriff’s officials, Deputy Gerardo Jimenez made a traffic stop about 11:15 p.m. on a vehicle driven by Ronald, 68, near West Court Way and Court Place in Twentynine Palms. Bryant is a convicted felon, and during a search of his vehicle, Jimenez found a stolen handgun. Deputies then went to Bryant’s home and found illegal drugs, ammunition, and the holster for the gun. Ronald Bryant was arrested for investigation of being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession of narcotics for sales. He was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail and released on bail Monday evening.
