Transition Joshua Tree’s Local Food Program’s members invite you to a vegetarian Thanksgiving celebration and vegetable distribution this Sunday, November 19 starting at 5 p.m. at the Joshua Tree Community United Methodist Church on East Parkway. The goal of this evening is to provide fresh food and vegetables to supplement existing food assistance programs and to educate people about growing, storing and cooking fresh food. Bring your own dishes, utensils, and a bag to take home some fresh produce if you need it. There is no charge, but donations are welcome. Contact [email protected] to donate or volunteer.
