Three Pride events light up the Morongo Basin starting this afternoon (6/20)
Three Pride events are happening today here (6/20) in the Morongo Basin,
The Pride Celebration kicks off at 2:00 p.m. with the 14th Annual Patio Pride Party at the Station in downtown Joshua Tree. Expect DJs Jesika, Kate, and Glen playing the most danceable tunes, hot dogs being grilled, and mocktails being served. There will be a dunk tank, surprises and more. The Station warns you to wear clothes that can withstand a drenching. The Station is located at 61943 Twentynine Palms Highway in Joshua Tree.
At 6:00 p.m, the party heads down the highway to Art Queen for the 3rd Annual Pride Ball. Kick off the ball with music from DJ Zaddy Fae, before the Drag Showcase begins at 7:30 p.m. Hosted by Lady Chillane and Mr. Jeffro, they will present performances from Cee Cee Russell, Freddy Retrograde, Tatiana Banks, Alexander Couture, China Montclair, Pearl O’Wisdom, Jack Angel, and AmoFlamo. The Drag Showcase has a suggested $10 donation. There will be food vendors, tie-dye, cocktails, and all of the galleries and shops at Art Queen will be open. The Art Queen is located at 61943 Twentynine Palms Highway in Joshua Tree.
At 9:00 p.m., the Pride party boogies on down to Yucca Valley. The Tiny Pony Tavern is hosting a Pride Party featuring DJ Mella Tarentella and local pole dancers from Desert Chrome. Entry is free, but bring singles to tip your dancers! Supergay Vodka is sponsoring the event with drink specials, prizes and more. That goes until very, very late. Tiny Pony Tavern is located at 57205 Twentynine Palms Highway in Yucca Valley. You must be 21 or older to enter.
