Theatre 29 reorganizes for 2026, splits Chairman duties
As they enter their 28th year of operation, the board of directors of Theatre 29 have reorganized with major changes to their board structure. The office of president was split into two co-chairs to lessen the workload, and the office of corresponding secretary was added.
Theatre 29 was first formed in 1999 by a group of parents concerned with a lack of performing arts offerings in local schools. First as a program of City of Twentynine Palms Parks and Recreation then in 2005 going independent as a separate 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. They operate from a building leased from the city at 73637 Sullivan Road. The 3600 Square foot former truss factory and drive-through recycling center was transformed into a full working theater by their volunteers over the years. Theatre 29 is an all-volunteer organization.
At their board meeting in January, Cindy Daigneault and Lisa Hodgson were named as co-chairs, Nena Jimenez as Vice-Chair, Jayme Zwicker as Secretary, Erin Keeran as Corresponding Secretary, and Tera Bottorff as Treasurer.
Elected to 2-year terms through December of 2027 were Lisa Hodgson, Katie Lalanne, Gary Daigneault, Cindy Daigneault, Joe Rego, and Ashton Ramsey. They join board members through December of 2026, Patti Brown, Erin Keeran, Jayme Zwicker, Tera Bottorff, and Nena Jimenez.
