Not feeling the romance on Valentine’s Day? Theatre 29 has a sweet and sour cocktail for you with the cabaret “Almost Love”. Arts & Entertainment Reporter Charlie Thomas tells you what happens when cupid shoots wide…
Has love’s keen sting left a welt? Do multi-colored candy hearts make your heart shrink 3 sizes? Then, Theatre 29’s latest offering, “Almost Love” is a cabaret for those of you who have been on the dark side of the romantic force. With tongue in cheek performances by the talented cast of Haley Kooyman, Jericho McNeltier, Jasmine Shaffer, Scott Clinkscales, Liyan McNeltier, Graham Cooley, Audra Puccio Nagby, John Pollnow, Lisa Goldberg, and Ian Ferris belting out some of Broadway’s best not quite romance songs, “Almost Love” promises a happy ending, even if the happy beginning didn’t quite happen. “Almost Love” will play at Theatre 29 for one weekend only from February 18 through 20. This production is rated M for mature audiences, not recommended for children under 13. Tickets are available now at www.theatre29.org.
