Sheriff’s detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying suspects who tried to murder a man in Landers Saturday and who are believed to be responsible for a large illegal marijuana grow. About 4 p.m., deputies were called to the 60700 block of Adele Road in Landers by a man who said he had been shot several times. He was flown to a nearby trauma center where his condition remains unknown. During the investigation, deputies located several hundred six-foot tall marijuana plants growing outside on the property. The Sheriff Marijuana Eradication Team responded and is assisting with the investigation. Anyone with information about the suspects involved in the shooting or growing the marijuana should call 760-366-4175.
