SUMMER PET SAFETY

We’ve just had a little taste of the heat that’s ahead for us. ROP broadcasting student Matthew Pierce says it’s hot for pets, too…
When summer time comes around the heat can be a dangerous place for your pet to be. Follow these steps to keep your pet safe from the heat provided by the American Red Cross.
1. Don’t put your pet in the back of the truck. It very dangerous and in some states it’s illegal. And your dog could unintentionally get thrown into traffic or get hit by flying debris.
2. Stay bite free- dogs bites occur more frequently in warm months
3. And make sure you always check for signs of heat stroke
Keep your pets safe! Reporting for z107.7 news I am ROP Broadcasting student Matthew Pierce .
