If you’re not eligible yet to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, but you’d like to bump up your turn to get it, the state has a way for you to do that. Managing editor Tami Roleff explains…
The state launched a volunteer page on its My Turn vaccination scheduling system for the general public to volunteer at vaccination sites. A volunteer who completes a shift of four hours or more is eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccination—although supplies of vaccine doses will determine if the volunteer receives the vaccination on the day of his or her shift. (A clinic administrator must also approve the vaccination first). General support volunteers can help with vaccine registration and administration support or as a site greeter. A background check may be required. If you are interested in volunteering, go to myturnvolunteer.ca.gov.
