A convicted felon—who is also a registered sex offender—was arrested when deputies found a loaded handgun in his possession. About 1:15 a.m. Tuesday, deputies made a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Teddy Cannon, 52, of Landers, on Old Woman Springs Road near Vin Rose Lane in Landers. During the stop, deputies found a loaded .34-caliber revolver in the driver’s door panel, along with drug paraphernalia. As a convicted felon and registered sex offender, Cannon is prohibited from owning or possessing guns. Teddy Cannon was arrested for investigation of being a felon in possession of a loaded firearm, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $50,000.
