Sheriff’s deputies are investigating two burglaries—one from the school district and one from Yucca Valley Town vehicles over the weekend. A Yucca Valley employee called deputies to town offices in the Monterey Business Center about 7:30 Monday morning. The employee said an unknown suspect had cut the lock to a gate and broke into two work trucks and stole tools and gasoline.
Then deputies were called at 7:45 a.m. Monday to the Morongo Unified School District’s maintenance yard in the 6900 block of Skypark Drive. The employee said surveillance video showed an unknown suspect breaking through the fence at 3:19 a.m. Sunday morning and stealing a Dodge pick-up truck.
