“Romeo & Juliet: A Mojave Reimagining” opens this weekend

Theatre 29’s, in collaboration with the Joshua Tree Shakespeare Company. “Romeo & Juliet: A Mojave Reimagining” opens for a two weekend run October 9. 

Theatre 29’s 2026-27 mainstage season begins with a new take on a classic work, William Shakeseare’s “Romeo & Juliet: A Mojave Reimagining” in association with Joshua Tree Shakespeare Company, plays a limited two weekend run, October 9 – 18. The Director, Liz Wessel, calls the show a “new experience.” It’s a reimagining set in the hi-desert in 2026.
