ROAD CLOSURE ON AMBOY ROAD DUE TO DOWNED POWER POLES

Update 07-23, 9:10 a.m.: The CHP reports that repairs have been completed and the road is now open.

Update 10:44 a.m.: A fleet of repair vehicles from Edison are en route to the location. According to the CHP, Repairs are ongoing and the road is expected to remain closed until tomorrow night (July 23).

Traffic on Amboy Road has been closed since 9 p.m. Wednesday (July 21) due to reports of multiple downed power poles due to flooding and strong winds in the area. According to Sheriff’s reports, Deputies were notified by motorists of the downed power poles in the 7800 block of Amboy Road and responded to re-direct traffic at the intersection of Ironage Road. Commuters are advised to find alternative routes. Edison is currently working to clear the roadway, however an estimated reopening time is not yet available. Z107.7 will provide updates as they become available.
