RESIDENTS OVER 65 ELIGIBLE FOR VACCINES BUT SUPPLIES ARE LIMITED, APPOINTMENTS SCARCE

The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors announced Thursday that all county residents age 65 and older are now eligible to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Seniors can make an appointment to get the vaccine through the county website, sbcovid19.com/vaccine. However, supplies of the vaccine are limited, so appointments are scarce. Residents can also sign up on the same website for email and text notifications to receive alerts about vaccination opportunities. Those without Internet access can call the COVID-19 hotline at 909-387-3911. At this time, there are only six sites to receive the free vaccine, and none are in the Morongo Basin. However, the county plans to offer mobile vaccination and community-based vaccination sites in the future. Z107.7 News will have more information when it becomes available.
