Fires at a Twentynine Palms mobile home park prompted the arrest of a 58-year-old park resident. According to Deputy Christopher Bingham, about 10:45 p.m., a neighbor in the Blue Horizons Mobile Home Park in the 7300 block of Didsbury Road, saw Gregory Curcio, pouring lighter fluid on a tree in the park, and then using a lighter to try to set it on fire. When the neighbor yelled at Curcio to stop, Curcio ran into his home. During an investigation of the attempted arson, deputies learned that two other palm trees near Curcio’s home had been burned Monday night, and that a vacant mobile home, directly across from Curcio’s residence, had also been set on fire, but extinguished by a neighbor. After an investigation, Gregory Curcio was arrested on suspicion of arson, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $100,000.
