Post Office wants you to pick up your packages during busiest week of the year

The United States Post Office is anticipating this week to be the busiest of the year.

It’s the last week to get holiday gifts and greetings in the mail by the recommended deadlines. Customer traffic at all Post Office locations has been steadily increasing since Dec. 1, and officials with the USPS expect this to be the busiest of the year.

Local Post office employees have contacted Z107.7 to spread the word that they are limited on space, and asking people to come by and pick up packages that are waiting at local facilities.

Post Office locations nationwide will be closed Christmas Day (Thursday, Dec. 25, 2025) and New Year’s Day (Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026).

All Post Office locations will be open and regular mail delivery will resume on Friday, Dec. 26, 2025, and Friday, Jan. 2, 2026.
