Photographer Philip Miller discusses 50 years of punk in pictures tonight (11/3)

It’s a night of classic punk rock stories and adventures Monday night (November 3) in Yucca Valley Phillip Miller’s Yucca Valley art studio was destroyed in a fire in 2024, but he was able to rescue the photographs that comprise the exhibition “PHIL S. TEEN” currently on display at Hi-Desert Artists Gallery.

The show features photos of the 1970s punk rock scene that were rescued from that fire, shot while he managed punk bands over the last 50 years.

Miller will be discussing his life and work with artist and advocate Ted Meyer Monday at 6:30 p.m. The Hi-Desert Artists Gallery is at 55635 Twentynine Palms Highway, corner of Geronimo Trail.

The exhibit runs through November 10.
