Parole violation leads to arrest; charges added due to suspected drugs found in sock

A man on probation was arrested during a traffic stop and was allegedly found with drugs in his sock while being booked into jail.
On Tuesday (January 6) at around 10:30 p.m, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with an expired registration near the intersection of Paxton Road and Balboa Avenue in Yucca Valley. Deputies identified one of the passengers as David Daniels, a 48 year-old resident of Yucca Valley. They say he had an active warrant for violating parole, and he was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.
Daniels was arrested at the scene and booked into the Morongo Basin Jail. During his booking, deputies say they located additional methamphetamine in his sock.
David Daniels was arrested on suspicion of violating parole, possession of methamphetamine, and is facing additional charges of attempting to bring a controlled substance into prison. He is being held at the West Valley Detention Center without bail.
