Palm Springs Aerial Tramway offering free rides for military personnel

If you need to cool off during the weekend heat wave, the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is offering free rides to military personnel.

During the entire month of July, all U.S. military personnel with valid military identification—active, former and retired—receive free admission to the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, along with a special gift for “Military Days.” Spouses of deployed military members, as well as military widows and widowers, also qualify for the promotion. Military personnel are encouraged to bring friends and family, and receive 25% off regular Tram admission for up to four guests.

The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is the world’s largest rotating tramcar. Opened in 1963, the Tram’s 80-passenger cars travel along the breathtaking cliffs of Chino Canyon from the Valley Station (elevation 2,643 ft.) to the Mountain Station (elevation 8,516 ft.) in approximately 10 minutes. For more information, please call 888-515-TRAM or 760-325-1391 or visit www.pstramway.com.
