The Morongo Basin Sexual Assault Services is sponsoring an open mic night Thursday, April 11 in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Survivors of sexual assault, their supporters, and anyone who wants to take a stand against sexual assault are encouraged to submit poetry, artwork, or music for the open mic night, set for Thursday, April 11 at Frontier Café in Yucca Valley, from 7 to 10:30 p.m. Artwork will be on display at Frontier Café in April. Submissions must be brought to the Morongo Basin Sexual Assault Services office, 57382 29 Palms Highway in Yucca Valley, by today, April 8. For more information, call 760-369-3353.
